Right, they're not catching me out this time. The BBC site says this was the 27th but I know better than to trust them on things like that. A good night for long names tonight, with Echo & The Bunnymen, The '80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster and, um... Alton Ellis & The Flames.

This is all great stuff. I can't believe I used to edit Peel's remarks out of my tapes of the Festive 50s to give more time to the music.
