The BBC tracklisting for the 23rd points to a show dated the 24th, but it seems to match what's in this show, so who knows. It's the Christmas party from Peel Acres, Laura Cantrell and ballboy are live with him, and there are tracks from Can, Melys and Rude Ass Tinker.

Is this the second ballboy session I've put up? I'm pretty sure I've got their Christmas show with Laura Cantrell somewhere as well. Moby Grape, LFO and Dalek Beach Party also put in an appearance in tonight's show.

I finally got it uploaded. Sounds like he's broadcasting from Barcelona on this one. The show actually ran straight from Peel into One World - I've only got the Peel part here. A selection of live stuff and tracks by The Undertones, Calexico and the Apparat Organ Quartet.

To answer the question from So It Goes, there's one "proper" show left, then a couple of festive 50 shows and the tribute show. There may be a couple of partial shows left that I haven't uploaded yet - I'll go back through them all and double check sometime this week.

I don't really know what I'm going to do with the blog once everything's up. Maybe post the odd batch of session tracks. I don't think I've got anything that isn't already online though.

Stupid internet

I'm really struggling with my wireless connection at the moment. I've lost count of the number of times I've started uploading the next show, only to have the connection crap out halfway through. I'll keep trying over the weekend and hopefully get it up there eventually.

June 10 2003 - The Rogers Sisters

From their myspace page, it looks like The Rogers Sisters just broke up a couple of months ago. They don't sound at all like I expected from their name. Also on tonight's show are Prefuse 23, Half Man Half Biscuit and Melt Banana.

The last few shows now are probably going to be a bit ropy because it was around this time that I was really having trouble getting the Wavefinder to record stuff. I just realised there's only about a month's worth of shows left to upload. I wish I'd found a way to keep recording them but the Psion Wavefinder just didn't work on XP and at the time it seemed like Peel would be with us forever.

Anyway, YCNIM in session tonight and tracks from Venetian Snares, Thelonious Monk and the Beatbox Saboteurs (who I never really liked, if I'm honest, but Peel seemed to take a shine to them).
